However, the call of home was strong after graduation, and in 2018 she and her husband made the decision to move back to Richmond to be closer to her family.

She was also a founding member of the Virginia Tech chapter of College Mentors for Kids, where she paired children one-on-one with a mentor and engaged them in activities on a university campus, fostering a love for learning and the power of mentoring. Additionally, her family was a part of the Richmond Tacky Light Tour for numerous years, using the proceeds to grant a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation annually.
Outside of work, Lauren finds joy in spending time with her family. She is a proud wife to her husband Nathan, a doting mother to her son Graham, and a loving owner to two dogs, Paisley and Walker. Together, they enjoy hiking through nature trails and creating lasting memories. Lauren also has a passion for reading, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of a good book.
